no, it's rice, which people don't throw anymore (at least they're not supposed to) because they eat too much of it and it expands in their stomachs and causes their stomachs rupture.

ohhhh I didn't know rice would do that. I knew they stopped throwing it at weddings because it was bad for birds.

well in most cases the birds die long before their stomachs rupture. the rice expands in their stomachs when they drink water and it blocks everything up so they can't digest anything or absorb water (the rice absorbs it quicker than their stomachs, and they eventually die of thirst).
