11- My younger brother would so steal that idea for Halloween this year if he wasn't already going as Johnny Five. Year before that it was "I'm a world war two pilot who has lost the use of both his legs..." Clever little bastard made more candy than anyone else in his group.

Would you recommend them? What little I've read about them said they were kinda meh, but I like any excuse to watch that kind of shit.

They're interesting to watch, but you have to remember that they were done in '76 and '85, respectively, and mostly with hand-held cameras. Production values are low and they aren't as much 'shocking' as 'Americans wouldn't do this' (but not in a corny 'gee, ain't them fellers weird?' way, just 'this is much different and something you wouldn't see' way). They aren't done in the in-your-face, fast-paced way that so many of this type is made, so that makes them a lot more low-key than you'd expect.

All that being said, there are some very nifty things in them (such as the leper colony, the Kavandi-bearing, and the Japanese sex museum).
